For this project I had to create a 12 page magazine from scratch including formatting and printing the final product. This included the logo, a cover, a contents page, an editors note page, 3 spreads and 3 advertisements as well.

Promotional Video
Along with the magazine i had to create a video advertisement to promote the magazine. I planned out and edited the video myself in Adobe Premiere.
My Process
I started off coming up with the theme and name of the magazine once I knew this I could then start roughing out ideas for all the different aspects like each page/spread the logo and the different ad ideas and layouts. I also decided what photography I would need to source and which I could take myself in these beginning stages.

I then moved on to creating the ads. Each ad I created a digital semi-comp version for each of my rough ideas so I could see how they would look and feel. I ended up changing some aspects from my original ideas to create more interest. The final ads were created using multiple sourced images put together using Photoshop and fully completed in InDesign.
Once the advertisements were done I moved onto the cover, contents and editors page as they were single pages and I could get them done quicker and set a baseline for the look and feel of the rest of the magazine. All of these pages were mainly created in InDesign with use of Photoshop to do basic editing on the images which were mostly sourced except for the ones from the editors note which were taken by me.
Finally I finished off with the spreads using aspects and colours from the rest of the pages I created these last pages. Once again these spreads were done mostly in InDesign with the illustrations being done by me in Illustrator and the photos being sourced.
