For this project I had to create a banner both vertical and horizontal to promote a race. Included in this I had to use a pre-existing image of a race car and clean off all the branding using Photoshop and then re-apply new logos and branding. I also created the abstract background to match in feel and tone.

My Process
I started it all off with the biggest task which was cleaning the car of the branding. It was a challenge and definitely a bit time consuming but I ended up with a good product by using techniques like lifting the shadows and highlights from the original car to apply to make sure the cleaned car looked the same. I also painted in smaller areas, matching the colours to create a seamless look.

I then moved onto creating a few different backgrounds bashing photos and generally playing around with layer styles and effects to create interest. I then added in my car to see the general look and feel of each one so I could pick the one I would use. I ended up changing a few things to the one I chose and then moved on to adding on the new logos using similar techniques to clearing the car like lifting shadows and highlights. Finally I put everything together to create the final banners.
